How to use GopikaShift

Converting a document

Drop a .doc, .docx or PDF file on the upload area, wait for it to finish, then download the Word file. The original file is not changed.

What gets converted

Only text typed in the Gopika font. English text, case numbers and anything in other fonts stays as it is. Tick Convert text in every font only if a file has lost its font information and nothing converts.

Word files and PDFs

Word files keep their tables, headers, footers, images, sizes and spacing. PDFs are rebuilt as plain paragraphs, so tables and page layout are lost; use the Word original whenever you have it. Scanned PDFs have no text to convert; run them through the OCR app first.

Converting pasted text

Paste text copied from a Gopika document into the left box. The Unicode version appears on the right as you type; copy it into your document.

Before filing

Read through the converted document once. Unusual conjunct letters can occasionally come out wrong.

About GopikaShift

GopikaShift turns Gujarati typed in the legacy Gopika font into standard Unicode Gujarati, which works in e-filing portals, search and every modern app.
